I studied economics at The University of Chicago and then returned for an MBA at Booth. While I was primarily focused on typical stuff like finance, strategy, and entrepreneurship, I decided to take a class on data mining. I thought it was a really interesting, downright magical at times.

After working in strategy consulting with leading consumer companies, I realized that there's potentially a valuable white space for people who are not only well versed in core business drivers and doing the typical Excel modeling, but who can also tap into the powerful fields of data science and machine learning.

Based on my background I tend to write more for people with a business/econ or general data analysis background rather than data scientists, but my main goal is to come up with unique and interesting insights which anyone can enjoy.
